Eldem who was famous with knowing Istanbul and buildings in it very well served between the years in Commission of Antiquity Protection, in High Council of Fixed Ancient Artifacts and Monuments.Born in Turkey in 1908, Sedat Hakki Eldem studied in the West before he returned to Istanbul to study at the Academy of Fine Arts.
