    Biography. Simms Taback ( - ) grew up in the Bronx and graduated from Cooper Union. He worked as an art director and a graphic designer and has taught at the School of Visual Arts and Syracuse University.


      Taback was a founding president of the Illustrators Guild in New York City and a founding member and president of the New York Graphic Artists.
    Simms Taback was both an author and illustrator of children’s books.
