Teruyo Nogami (Japanese: 野上照代, born 24 May ) is a Japanese film script supervisor and author. [1] She is best known for her work on many of Akira Kurosawa's films, a partnership that began in Nogami joined Daiei Studios as a "script girl" in 1949 when she was just 22 years old and shortly thereafter began not only one of the closest.
With two daughters to support, Nogami's wife Kayo (Sayuri Yoshinaga), aka Kabei, is understandably distressed -- a condition aggravated by her conservative "told-you-so" policeman father (Umenosuke Nakamura).The lecture will be followed by a reception and book signing of Nogami's recently published memoir, Waiting on the Weather: Making Movies with Akira Kurosawa.
